Some projects remind you exactly why you do what you do. The Bourbon Steak shoot at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa for American Express was one of those.
Nestled in Aventura, the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry is in a league of its own โ a resort that's as much a destination as it is a hotel. And Bourbon Steak, Michael Mina's flagship steakhouse concept, fits that energy perfectly. This isn't just a restaurant. It's an experience. And our job was to capture that in a way that does it justice.
The Brief
American Express brings its cardholders access to some of the most coveted dining experiences in the world. Bourbon Steak at Turnberry is firmly on that list. The goal was to create imagery that communicates the full sensory experience โ the food, the ambiance, the craft, the setting โ in a way that makes you want to book a table before you've finished looking at the photos.

The Shoot
Walking into Bourbon Steak, the first thing that hits you is the space. Warm light, rich textures, and that specific kind of quiet that only exists in a restaurant that knows it doesn't need to try too hard. We moved through the dining room deliberately โ finding angles, working with the natural light from the resort grounds, and letting the details tell the story.
The food is the kind that makes your job easy. Chef Mina's signature butter-poached prime cuts, the sides, the raw bar โ every plate is composed with the same intention as a work of art. Our role was to honor that intention through the lens.

On Location at Turnberry
The JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa is the kind of property that elevates everything around it. Shooting here adds a layer of context that's hard to manufacture โ you feel the prestige in the architecture, the grounds, the service. That context matters when the final images are representing a brand like American Express.
South Florida has no shortage of beautiful venues, but Turnberry operates at a different level. It's a reminder of what this region is capable of when hospitality, design, and culinary craft come together at the highest level.

What Projects Like This Mean to Us
At Lunna Agency, every shoot matters โ whether it's a local Fort Lauderdale restaurant or a flagship property for a global brand. But projects like this one validate the standard we hold ourselves to every single day. When American Express needs imagery for one of their premier dining partners in South Florida, the work has to be undeniable.
We're proud of what we created at Bourbon Steak. More to come.
